04 Betting with limits
Every account starts with a pre-commitment step. You choose a deposit limit for a day, a week or a month, and we hold you to it. Lowering a limit applies straight away. Raising one takes seven days, which gives you time to think about it away from the moment.
05 About UPCOZ
Most Australian bookmakers show you the same meetings and the same fixtures. What differs is how much noise sits between you and the information. We took the opposite approach: the card comes first, the prices sit next to the runner or the team, and nothing flashes at you while you decide.
UPCOZ is operated from Cairns by UPCOZ Pty Ltd and licensed by the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation in Queensland. Online gambling in Australia is regulated at state and territory level, and every licensed operator has to verify your identity, check the national self-exclusion register and offer pre-commitment tools before you can bet. We treat those obligations as the starting point rather than the finish line.
You will find thoroughbred, greyhound and harness meetings from every state on the racing card, and AFL, NRL, cricket, soccer, tennis and basketball on the sports card. Prices are decimal, markets settle under our betting rules, and withdrawals go back to the account you deposited from.
No betting on credit. Australian law prohibits credit betting. We accept debit cards, PayID and BPAY only, and we will never offer you a line of credit or an inducement to keep betting.
06 Common questions
You must be at least 18 years old and physically located in Australia. Your name, date of birth and residential address are checked against government records before the account can be used, and we also check the National Self-Exclusion Register. A tick box is not enough — the verification is done against your identity documents.
You are asked to set one before your first deposit. Choose an amount and a period — daily, weekly or monthly. Once the limit is reached, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets. A decrease takes effect immediately; an increase is held for seven days before it applies.
Debit cards, PayID and BPAY. Credit cards and credit-linked digital wallets are not accepted for betting in Australia. Withdrawals are returned to the method you deposited from wherever that is possible, which is both a regulatory requirement and a sensible safeguard. Read more on deposits and payments.
Each state and territory licenses its own wagering operators, and the Interactive Gambling Act sets national rules on top of that. Our licence is issued in Queensland by the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation. Advertising, inducements, credit betting and account verification are all covered by binding codes — you can read how we apply them in our advertising code page.
You can take a break, self-exclude from UPCOZ for a fixed term, or register with BetStop to block every licensed Australian online and phone wagering provider at once. None of these require a reason, and none of them can be reversed early. Full detail is on our self-exclusion page.
