Terms and Conditions
These terms form the agreement between you and UPCOZ Pty Ltd when you open or use an account on upcoz.co. Please read them before you bet.
Effective from 1 July 2026 · Last reviewed July 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
upcoz.co is owned and operated by UPCOZ PTY LTD (ABN 93621899634, ACN 621 899 634) of 101 Sheridan Street, CAIRNS QLD 4870, licensed and regulated by the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation in Queensland, Australia, under wagering licence number 4597/2024/WB. In these terms, "we", "us" and "UPCOZ" mean that company, and "you" means the account holder.
By opening an account, placing a bet, or using any part of this website, you accept these terms, our Betting Rules, our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. Where the Betting Rules deal with a particular market or settlement question, those rules apply to that question.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- You must be physically located in Australia when you place a bet, and be an Australian resident.
- You must not be listed on the National Self-Exclusion Register (BetStop), and you must not be excluded from wagering by any court order, regulator or agreement with us.
- You must not be an employee, contractor or immediate family member of an employee of UPCOZ where that involvement could give rise to a conflict, and you must not be a participant in an event on which you place a bet.
- You must act on your own behalf. Accounts opened or operated for another person are prohibited.
Accounts are personal and non-transferable. If we find that a person under 18 has used an account, all bets are void, winnings are forfeited and the balance of any deposits is returned in accordance with the law.
3. Opening and verifying an account
One account per person. When you apply we collect your name, date of birth, residential address and contact details, and we verify them electronically against government and credit-file records. Ticking a box to confirm your age is not sufficient — verification is carried out against your identity information, as required by the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth) and by our licence conditions.
Until verification is complete your account is restricted: you may view the site, but you cannot deposit, bet or withdraw. If electronic verification does not succeed we will ask you for supporting documents. We must complete verification within the period allowed by law; if we cannot, the account is closed and any deposited funds are returned.
Keep your details current. You must tell us promptly if your name, address, email or phone number changes.
4. Your account security
You are responsible for keeping your password and account access secure, and for every bet placed through your account. Do not share your login. We will never ask for your password by phone or email. If you believe someone else has accessed your account, tell us immediately through contact us and we will suspend it while we investigate.
5. Deposits, withdrawals and no credit betting
- Credit cards, and any digital wallet funded by a credit card, cannot be used for betting in Australia. We accept debit cards, PayID and BPAY. See deposits and payments.
- We do not offer credit, lines of credit, or any deferred payment arrangement, and we will not accept a bet that is not covered by cleared funds in your account.
- Withdrawals are returned to the source of your deposit wherever that is possible. Where it is not, funds are paid to a bank account held in your own name.
- Your account is not a savings or transaction account. It does not earn interest and must not be used to transfer funds to another person.
- Deposits are subject to the deposit limit you have set. Once the limit for the period is reached, further deposits are declined until the period resets.
6. Placing a bet
A bet is accepted when it is confirmed on screen and appears in your account history. Until then it has not been placed. We may refuse a bet, or accept it in part, at our discretion — for example where the stake exceeds the limit we hold for that market, where a price is obviously wrong, or where the event has already started.
The price shown at the moment of acceptance is the price that applies. If a price displayed is manifestly incorrect because of a technical fault or human error (a palpable error), we may void the bet or settle it at the price that was generally available at the time. Markets close at the scheduled start of the event; we do not offer in-play betting on this site.
7. Settlement, voids and corrections
Markets settle on the official result declared by the relevant controlling body, applied in accordance with our Betting Rules. Where a result is amended after settlement — a protest upheld, a disqualification, a corrected scoreline — accounts are re-settled to reflect the corrected result. Where an event is abandoned, postponed beyond the period stated in the Betting Rules, or a market is voided, stakes are returned.
8. Promotions policy
Australian law and the codes that bind us place strict limits on inducements to open an account or to bet. We do not offer sign-up offers, referral inducements, or any promotion that requires you to deposit or bet in order to obtain a benefit. Where a promotion is run at all, the following apply:
- Its full terms, including eligibility, duration and any limits, are published with it before it opens.
- It is not offered to anyone who has self-excluded, set a limit that the promotion would encourage them to exceed, or asked not to receive marketing.
- It is not communicated to a person under 18, and not published where it is directed primarily at people under 18.
- Any benefit is withdrawable on the terms stated; we do not apply hidden turnover requirements after the fact.
- We may exclude an account from promotions where we reasonably suspect abuse, collusion, or the use of multiple accounts, and we may void the associated bets.
You can opt out of all marketing at any time from your account or by using the unsubscribe link in any message. Opting out does not affect service messages about your account.
9. Advertising and marketing code
The following rules bind us and any third party that promotes us. We will not:
- offer a sign-up bonus, a deposit match, a refund offer, a referral reward, or any other inducement to open an account or to bet;
- suggest that betting improves your finances, your social standing, your relationships or your chances in life;
- claim or imply that a bet is risk-free, guaranteed, certain, or a way to recover previous losses;
- use urgency, countdowns or "last chance" language to push a decision;
- advertise where the audience is primarily people under 18, or use imagery, characters or language that appeals primarily to children;
- market to anyone who has self-excluded, taken a break, registered with BetStop, or asked us to stop;
- sponsor junior sport, school sport, or any team whose participants are primarily under 18.
Every advertisement and marketing message we publish carries a responsible gambling tagline drawn from the national set — "Chances are you're about to lose", "What are you prepared to lose today? Set a deposit limit", "You win some. You lose more.", "What's gambling really costing you?", "Imagine what you could be buying instead", "Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?" — rotated so it does not become invisible through repetition. Messages also carry the 18+ marking, the free national support line 1800 858 858, and a working opt-out that we honour across every channel within one business day. Australian broadcasting and online rules restrict when wagering advertising may be shown, particularly around live sport and content directed at children; we apply those restrictions to every channel we use and require the same of any agency acting for us. Complaints about our advertising can go to complaints@upcoz.co, to Ad Standards at adstandards.com.au, or to the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation.
10. Anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing
UPCOZ Pty Ltd is a reporting entity under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth) and the associated Rules. We maintain a board-approved AML/CTF programme, enrol with AUSTRAC, and submit our programme and our conduct to independent review. In practice this means:
- Knowing who you are. Your full name, date of birth and residential address are verified before the account can be used. This is why an anonymous account is impossible and why your details must match your documents.
- Ongoing due diligence. We keep customer information current and may ask you to confirm details or to explain the source of funds where activity makes that reasonable. Such a request is a legal obligation, not an accusation. Enhanced due diligence applies to politically exposed persons and higher-risk accounts.
- Transaction monitoring. Deposits, withdrawals and betting patterns are monitored automatically and reviewed by trained staff. Structuring deposits under thresholds, rapid deposit-and-withdraw cycles with little betting, third-party payment methods and activity that does not fit the account profile all draw attention.
- Reporting. Threshold transaction reports for cash transactions of A$10,000 or more, suspicious matter reports where we form a suspicion on reasonable grounds, and international funds transfer instructions where they occur. The law prohibits us from telling you that a suspicious matter report has been made or what it contained — if we appear unable to explain a delay in detail, that is why.
- Powers. Where our obligations require it we may delay or refuse a transaction, request further information, restrict or close an account, and disclose information to AUSTRAC, the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation, law enforcement or a court, without notice where the law requires.
- Records. Identification, transaction and account records are retained for at least seven years after the account closes. This obligation takes precedence over a request to delete personal information.
What we ask of you: use only payment methods in your own name, never let anyone else deposit into or bet from your account, keep your contact details current, and respond promptly when we ask for information — a delayed response is the most common cause of a held withdrawal.
11. Restrictions and prohibited conduct
You must not:
- open more than one account, or use another person's account or payment method;
- use the site if you are prohibited from gambling by law, court order or self-exclusion;
- use automated software, bots, scrapers or any system designed to place bets or harvest data;
- bet on an event in which you participate, officiate, or hold inside information;
- collude with other account holders, or act as part of a syndicate without disclosing it to us;
- use the account for money laundering, terrorism financing, fraud or any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to interfere with the site's operation or security.
Where we reasonably suspect a breach we may suspend or close the account, void affected bets, withhold winnings arising from the breach, and report the matter to the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation, AUSTRAC, a sporting controlling body or the police.
12. Responsible gambling
Gambling can be harmful. A deposit limit must be set before your first deposit and can be changed at any time — a decrease applies immediately, an increase takes seven days. You may take a break, self-exclude from UPCOZ, or register with BetStop to block every licensed Australian online wagering provider. Our full commitments are set out in our Responsible Gambling policy, and we will act on any request to close or restrict an account without asking you to justify it.
13. Suspension, closure and dormant accounts
You may close your account at any time — see closing your account. We may suspend or close an account where we are required to by law or by our regulator, where verification cannot be completed, where these terms have been breached, or where we reasonably believe continued betting is causing you harm. Where we close an account, any balance that is properly yours is returned to you.
An account with no activity for twelve months is treated as dormant. We will contact you at the details we hold before taking any step, and unclaimed money is dealt with under the applicable unclaimed money legislation.
14. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, or for interruptions to the service caused by your equipment or internet connection. Where our liability can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the service or refunding the amount of the affected bet.
We take reasonable care that information on this site is accurate, but scheduling, form and market information can change without notice. Where the site and the official record differ, the official record prevails.
15. Complaints and disputes
If something has gone wrong, tell us first — most matters are resolved quickly. Our complaints process sets out the steps, the time frames we work to, and the external avenues available to you, including the Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation in Queensland.
16. Changes to these terms
We may amend these terms where the law, our licence conditions or the service changes. Material changes are notified to you by email or on-site notice before they take effect. Bets already accepted are governed by the terms in force when they were placed. If you do not accept a change, you may close your account and withdraw your balance.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State and of the Commonwealth of Australia.
